The Forest Products Lab (One Gifford Pinchot Drive) will host an open house for Earth Day, April 22 (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM). During this free, public event, visitors will enjoy an opportunity to visit with FPL researchers regarding efforts to conserve and make innovative use of forest products. Visitors can also tour the Centennial Research Facility and the Research Demonstration House where the research process informs building design, construction materials and energy use. The lobby area of Building One will host an historical exhibit of FPL research.
Activities for children will feature demonstrations of termites and paper-making, among other activities, and visits with Smokey the Bear and Woodsy Owl.
