Rural Sociology Subject Guide--New!

Steenbock liaison to the Department of Rural Sociology, Beverly Phillips, has contributed a new online guide to the library’s host of subject guides that organize and recommend online resources of interest to respective disciplines.

Given the diversity and interdisciplinary nature of research within Rural Sociology, Beverly has crafted the online guide to point users to sources for articles, books, statistics and Web documents within such categories as agrofood systems, environment, community/population and international issues, and historical resources.

ScienceXpress: Publication ahead of Print

Science Express provides access, online, to selected Science articles in advance of the print edition.

The editors at Science select these articles from among all fields of science with the primary consideration being the timeliness and importance of that research. While some editorial changes may appear once the print edition is released, these selected articles are considered “published” when posted online (PDF) and can be cited from that date.

Access to Science Express accompanies the libraries’ full-text subscription to Science. See: http://www.sciencemag.org/sciencexpress/recent.dtl
