New Libraries Website launched August 2

Campus libraries launched a new libraries Website on August 2, 2006. As user feedback was instrumental in redesigning this site, it is hoped that finding and using particular library resources and services will be more easily-achieved.

Should you have any questions about navigating this new site or using any of its “search shortcuts”, we invite you to speak with Steenbock librarians.

Contact Us by phone (262-1371 or 262-9635); email asksteenbock@library.wisc.edu

Or consult with your library liaison.

Database Changes

After careful consideration, campus libraries will no longer subscribe to several Ovid database products beginning July 1, 2006. Users of Ovid Medline are advised to search PubMed; Current Contents users are advised to search Web of Knowledge.

Ebling Library addresses these database changes in its summer newsletter with a useful table highlighting vendors and alternatives by product name.

If you would like assistance with using any of these research literature databases, consult a librarian.
