Read and Discuss with the Rachel Carson Book Club

In order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Rachel Carson’s birth, the Friends of the National Conservation Training Center of the US Fish & Wildlife Service have crafted an online book club.

The book club affords participants an opportunity to read texts by and about Rachel Carson and to join in discussions as moderated by special guests—biographers, historians and scientists. Each month features different texts and moderators.

Many texts by and about Rachel Carson can be found in campus libraries. Do speak with Steenbock librarians if you need assistance finding these texts or others devoted to the concerns that she so fervently and eloquently addressed.
