Even when you’re off campus, simply select the resource you need to use from the site. Resources requiring authentication will prompt you to log in with your NetID. (In some instances, apart from NetID, you may still be asked to submit your University ID number and last name as login and password). Once you have entered either of these two pieces of identifying information, you will be able to use the resource as if you were here on campus.
Should you plan to visit campus, do note that the libraries will be open during the winter recess, but the hours will vary. Plan ahead and visit the list of library locations to see "Who’s Open".
The library will host a generous contribution from University Housing of coffee and hot chocolate during the evenings, (December 16-19, beginning at 7:00 and while supplies last). Look for the hot beverage service on the first floor (vending area). Should you need to come and go from our building during these later hours, we always advise using the "buddy system" and to walk or share a ride with friends. Additionally, and as need be, do consider using SAFE Nighttime services.

The Go Big Read program invites all UW-Madison students, staff, faculty, and Dane County residents to submit a creative piece in response to his/her reading of the book Enrique's Journey to compete in a juried exhibit, "Our Nations of Others." Submissions should be creative pieces in visual or literary forms. Pieces entered must be the artist/author’s original work on any topic related to Enrique’s Journey. (No video or audio works will be accepted). Participants may submit up to two visual or literary works. Award winners will be honored in a ceremony with Enrique’s Journey photographer and Pulitzer Prize winner, Don Bartletti, in March 2012. A selection of works will also be featured in an exhibit during the spring 2012 semester.
